பின்னர் பொலிசார் அவரை விரட்ட பாராளுமன்றக் கட்டிடத்துக்குள் நுழைந்துள்ளார்.
சிப்பாய்களாலும் பொலிசாரும் சூழ்ந்துகொள்ள பாராளுமன்றம் அடைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. கருப்பு உடையணிந்த ஒருவர் துப்பாக்கி ஏந்தி வந்ததைப் பார்த்ததாக சாட்சிகள் கூறுகின்றனர்.
துப்பாக்கி சத்தம் தொடர்ந்து கேட்டபடி இருக்க பொலிசார் பதுங்குவதை பாராளுமன்றத்துக்குள் எடுக்கப்பட்ட வீடியோ படங்கள் காட்டுகின்றன.
வந்த துப்பாக்கிதாரி கொல்லப்பட்டுவிட்டதாக உறுதிசெய்யப்படாத தகவல்கள் கூறுகின்றன. வேறு யாரும் இல்லை என்பதை உறுதிசெய்வதற்காக கட்டிடத்தை பொலிசார் தேடிவருகின்றனர்.
ஒட்டாவாவில், ஜன்னல்களை ஒட்டியும், மேற்கூரையிலும் நிற்பதை மக்கள் தவிர்க்க வேண்டும் என அறிவுறுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.
கனடாவில் பயங்கரவாத அச்சுறுத்தலை, குறைந்த அளவில் இருந்து மத்திய அளவுக்கு அரசாங்கம் அறிவித்து சில நாட்களில் இந்த சம்பவம் நடந்துள்ளது.
