Macca Masjid glimmers in colourful lights ahead of Milad- Un-Nabi (படங்கள் இணைப்பு)
Hyderabad is all geared up to celebrate Milad-Un-Nabi, the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, on January 14. There will be special prayers and processions, and some religious organisations will hold blood donation camps on Tuesday at different places in the city. Before the Milad-UnNabi, many religious organisations will hold blood donation camps at different places in the city to help needy people. For the occasion Macca Masjid was glimmering in colourful lights while spreading the message of peace.
Talking about the blood donation camps, the Sunni United Forum of India (SUFI) says ‘The message of Islam and the Prophet is peace and so we aim to spread the message through such activities in this holy month’.
Devotees walk as the Macca Masjid, which is decorated with bright and colourful lights, makes up the backdrop on the eve of Milad-Un-Nabi festival.
Hyderabad city’s mosques and other religious institutions will conduct special spiritual programmes in the coming days, such as the Mehfil-e-Naat, in which verses composed in praise of the Prophet are recited and describe his message, and Jalsa-e-Rahmatul Alameen, an event to educate people about Islam.
The largest Milad-un-Nabi procession will be that of the Sunni United Forum of India, in which around 50,000 Muslims are expected to take part.
The largest gathering will be organised by the Majlis party on Monday night and Tuesday night at Darussalam.
