Talented make-up artist Maria Malone-Guerbaa gets into the festive spirit by transforming her own face into that of a stunningly lifelike reindeer
Make-upartist Maria Malone-Guerbaa usually focuses on film and television stars, but she decided to give herself a festive makeover this year.
The 40-year-old mother-of-two from London managed to transform her face into that of an incredibly realistic reindeer.
She didn’t use any prosthetics or special effects to achieve the look, only her brushes and kryolan paints to recreate antlers, bright eyes and nose.
“Everyone always does Father Christmas or elves and I just wanted to do something different,” she said.
“Reindeer are such beautiful creatures and I wanted to see if I could become one with the power of make-up illusion.
“It took over two hours to build up the shading to create the illusion of depth and hair.
“The make-up effect has received awesome attention and I’m delighted to have inspired so many.”
Maria is a freelance make-up and hair artist for films and TV and her creations
She’s always had a passion for art but only started on her celebrity lookalikes when she started doing face painting for parties for her children – Sophia, 12, and Adam, 10.
