அவரது படையணியைச் சேர்ந்த பெண்கள் தீவிரவாதிகளிடம் சிக்கிக் கொள்ளும் பட்சத்தில் அவர்களால் கொல்லப்படவும் பாலியல் அடிமையாக நடத்தப்படவும் கூடிய அபாயம் உள்ளமை குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
வட ஈராக்கிய பிராந்தியத்தில் யஸிடி இனத்தவர்களது கிராமப்புற பாடல்களைப் பாடுவதில் பிரசித்தி பெற்ற ஷின்காலிக்கு மேற்படி படையணியை ஸ்தாபிப்பதற்கு குர்திஷ் ஜனாதிபதி அங்கீகாரம் அளித்துள்ளார்.
அவரது படையணியில் 17 வயதுக்கும் 30 வயதுக்கும் இடைப்பட்ட வயதுடைய 123 பெண்கள் அங்கம் வகிக்கின்றனர்.
கடந்த ஆண்டு வட ஈராக்கின் சின்ஜார் மாகாணத்திலுள்ள கிராமங்களைக் கைப்பற்றிய தீவிரவாதிகள் இயஸிடி இனத்தைச் சேர்ந்த பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கான பெண்களைக் கடத்திச் சென்றிருந்தனர்.
இந்நிலையில் தீவிரவாதிகளிடமிருந்து தப்பி வந்த பெண்கள்இ தாம் தீவிரவாதிகளால் கொடூரமான முறையில் பாலியல் துஷ்பிரயோகத்துக்கு உட்படுத்தப்பட்டும் அந்த தீவிரவாதிகளை திருமணம் செய்வதற்கு நிர்ப்பந்திக்கப்பட்டும் கொடுமைப்படுத்தப்பட்டதாக தெரிவித்திருந்தனர்.
‘சண் கேர்ல்ஸ்’ படையணியில் அங்கத்துவம் வகிக்கும் இளம் பெண் படைவீரரான ஜேன் பாரெஸ் (17 வயது) விபரிக்கையில், ஐ.எஸ். தீவிரவாதிகள் சின்ஜார் பிராந்தியத்தைக் கைப்பற்றிய போது தனது சகோதரனுடன் அங்கிருந்து தப்பி வந்ததாக தெரிவித்தார்.
தான் இந்தப் பெண்கள் படையணியில் இணைந்து போராடுவது குறித்து தனது தந்தை பெரிதும் மகிழ்ச்சியடைந்துள்ளதாக அவர் கூறினார்.
