இங்கிலாந்தில் 1200 கார்களுடன் சரக்கு கப்பல் தரைதட்டி கவிழ்ந்தது (படங்கள்)

இங்கிலாந்தில் உள்ள சௌதம்டன் துறைமுகம் பிரபலமானது. இங்கிருந்து ஹோ ஒசாகா என்ற சரக்கு கப்பல் சனிக்கிழமை மாலை புறப்பட்டது. அதன்பிறகு, அங்குள்ள ஐசில் தீவுக்கு அருகே வந்தபோது திடீரென தரைதட்டி நின்றது. சிறிது நேரத்தில் கொஞ்சம் கொஞ்சமாக ஒரே புறமாக சரிந்து கவிழ்ந்து விபத்துக்குள்ளானது.

அந்த கப்பலில் 1200-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட கார்கள், 80 கட்டுமான பாகங்கள், ஜே.சி.பி. எந்திரங்கள், கிரேன்கள், லாரி டிரெய்லர்கள், கற்களை உடைக்கும் கிரஷர் இயந்திரங்கள் உள்ளிட்ட 4600 டன்களுக்கும் அதிகமான இயந்திரங்கள் ஏற்றப்பட்டிருந்தன.

52 டிகிரி வரை சரிந்து நிற்கும் அந்த கப்பலை நிமிரச் செய்ய பல நாட்களாகும் என கப்பல் மீட்பு குழுவினர் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர். கப்பல் கவிழ்ந்ததற்கான காரணம் குறித்து விசாரணை நடந்து வருகிறது.

கப்பலில் இருந்த 25 பணியாளர்களையும் கடற்படை வீரர்கள் பத்திரமாக  மீட்டனர். கப்பலில் 500 டன்கள் எடையுள்ள எரிபொருளும் இருந்ததாக கேப்டன் ஜான் நோபல் தெரிவித்தார்.

மேலும் தரைதட்டியதால் கப்பல் கடுமையாக சேதமடைந்திருக்க அதிக வாய்ப்புள்ளதாகவும் அவர் தெரிவித்தார். லட்சணக்கான பவுண்டுகள் மதிப்புள்ள வாகனங்கள் சேதமடைந்து விட்டதாக மீட்பு குழுவினர் மதிப்பிட்டுள்ளனர். அவற்றில் பெரும்பாலானவை மத்திய கிழக்கு நாடுகளுக்கு ஏற்றுமதி செய்யப்பட்டவை என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
